The Brief
Updated the design of AccessMore.com to be more modern and user-friendly. Give consideration to discovery of new and existing podcasts
The Process
There is a lot to improve on the current state of AccessMore’s website. For starters, homepage is overloaded with images. Between the featured shows in the rotators and four rows displaying podcast artwork, it’s easy for the user to become overwhelmed. Some shows are repeated between the four rows. There’s no live text accompanying the artwork, so hopefully the user can read all the information they need from the small artwork.
I chose to replace the featured rotator with a hero section to introduce the vision of AccessMore to the user. From there, there’s a more understated rotator that can highlight featured shows. The homepage content is now clearly separated into three sections. Card designs for New Shows, New Episodes and Video Podcasts are all unique, helping the user differentiate the types of content.
The internal Podcast pages are organized to be much more intuitive, and includes recommendations for similar shows at the bottom.
